Mobile Workshop

Teacher Guide

Help your students turn a day of discovery into a next step. Here’s your checklist for before, during, and after the Mobile Workshop visit.

Before the visit

  • Complete the pre visit survey. Have every participating student fill out the survey before the workshop arrives.
  • Confirm the plan. Confirm arrival, parking, group sizes, and rotation times with your workshop contact.
  • Choose your student MVPs. Select 3–4 students who can help throughout the day. Confirm their early orientation time with the workshop team.
  • Prepare your students. Invite students to bring a career question. Discuss any access or support needs with the workshop team.

Test both survey links on a school device ahead of time. If blocked, contact your school’s technology team and workshop contact.

Day of the visit

  • Check in with the workshop team. Have your school contact available and confirm where student groups should gather.
  • Follow your rotation schedule. Bring groups at their assigned times and provide the teacher supervision agreed with the team.
  • Encourage exploration. Help students ask questions, try new experiences, and notice what interests them.

After the visit

  • Complete the post visit survey. Give every participating student time to fill out the survey after the workshop visit.
  • Reflect together. Ask students: “What did you try that you would like to learn more about?”
  • Keep the discovery going. Encourage students to sign up for Join the Movement for more information about technical careers and local opportunities.
  • Help them take a next step. Explore Florida technical careers together or connect students with their school counselor.
